We got three BumGenius 4.0 velcro one-size diapers and they were just as easy as using disposables. After further research we found that the velcro closures tend to wear down over time, so we put in our second and final order for twelve one-size with snaps. The snaps work well, and no more dealing with securing the velcro before washing. We have found our disposable diaper replacement. 5 stars for the BumGenius 4.0 one-size snaps. We now have two of each color and love them all, though pink is our favorite for a girl, and the grasshopper green is cute, the light colors work well too.

Kissaluvs Unbleached Doubler Review

Kissaluvs Unbleached Doubler

These are the least bulky inserts that I have found, and they work beautifully with Rocky Mountain Diapers, Bum Genius, Fuzzi Bunz, and our Happy Heiny one-size diapers. I hate how bulky one-size diapers are, but I was unwilling to keep buying diapers in bigger sizes as my daughter grew. These are incredibly absorbant, and they are not bulky, so there is no going up a size in clothing, or having my daughter take on the shape of a squash. These work so much better than microfiber inserts of the same size simply because of the materials used. These are by far my favorite insert. For the best fit under clothing, I recommend Rocky Mountain diapers with this insert. For overnight use, I recommend this insert with a Thirsties Hybrid AIO.

I would like to mention that these do not always dry the first time through the dryer. Ultra absorbancy has its downfalls, I suppose. I just do 2 loads on the days when I do laundry-- these go into the first load, and if they are not dry yet, they stay in, and I just add the second load to these. It has worked well so far, and I do not feel that I wasting electricity that way.

gDiapers Little gPants, 2 Pack, Small Review

The issue with these gpants is the "assorted colors".Depending on the sex of your baby you may not be keen on receiving pink or blue and there is no way to request certain colors when you order through amazon.I contacted the seller, DAB Nutrition, they said it would be fine to order through Amazon, get your order number then call DAB directly at (800)775-5713, give them your order number and specify "no pink or no blue", etc.

gDiapers gCloth Inserts Review

gDiapers gCloth Inserts

In hopes that I might be able to use my gDiapers as cloth diapers at home, and use the flushables when we're out of the house, I bought the gCloth inserts.I've also purchased prefolds and "g-flappers" made by a work-at-home mother. I had hoped that the gCloth inserts might fit better and avoid breaking the seal formed by the nylon liner, since they're made by gDiapers to fit their own product.

Unlike Goldilocks, however, I have yet to find the "just right" cloth insert for my gDiapers. The gCloth inserts leak because they are too small to absorb enough liquid, while the prefolds and g-flappers leak because they are too thick and break the seal on the diaper. The gCloth liners do fit quite well in the diaper -- in fact, they're smaller than the flushable inserts. The hemp is supposed to become absorbent with washing; however, I washed the inserts the prescribed six times before using them, and have washed them many times since, but they do not fully absorb even one wetting. My daughter is two months old, and doesn't seem to be a heavy wetter. She can get through the night with no problem in the flushable liners; she can barely make it an hour in the gCloth liners.I've had to double them up before they'll work for her; fortunately the liners are so small that it's relatively easy to fit two in the diaper.Doubling them up is an expensive option, though, since I have to own twice as many liners.

My other complaint about the gCloth inserts is that they take forever to dry after you wash them.Everything else in the load will be dry, but I'll have to put the gCloth liners in for a second round in the dryer, and even then sometimes I have to put them on the line to dry after that.(This is why the WAHM business makes "flappers" with one end unsewn -- it allows all of the layers to dry more quickly.)

All in all, I'd say this new product still needs some work before it's perfected.

gCloth inserts offer a washable and reusable option for gDiapers. They are designed specifically to fit our soft little gPants so they donÆt require any folding. They provide the same trim fit as our biodegradable gRefills without giving up the absorbency. Six inserts per pack.A super absorbing trim fit that doesnÆt require folding. Six inserts per pack. Use with little gPants.gCloth absorbs, naturally. Two layers of soft 100% polyester microfleece wick moisture away from babyÆs bottom. Two layers of hemp/cotton hold moisture in.Hemp doesnÆt wear out, it wears in.Hemp in particular becomes more absorbent with use so the more you wash gCloth inserts, the softer and more absorbent they become. How to wash and care for gCloth inserts. For optimum softness, absorbency and sizing, wash gCloth inserts at least six (6) times before using. Wash gCloth in hot water and tumble dry on medium heat. Do not use fabric softener. Expect some shrinkage in length. The extra washing is worth the effort, because gCloth inserts become softer and more absorbent the more you wash them.

Locking Diaper Pins, Stainless Steel, 8 Pack Ass't Colors Review

Locking Diaper Pins, Stainless Steel, 8 Pack Ass't Colors

The quality of these was ok. I bought 2 packs, and out of the 16 total pins, I ended up with about 9 that were pretty good quality. The other 7 would bend on the tip the first time I tried to poke it through a diaper. However, since they're so cheap (and since no one else seems to sell diaper pins anymore), I feel that I did get my money's worth.

Real Nappies 6-Pack of Snug Wrap Diaper Covers, White Review

Real Nappies 6-Pack of Snug Wrap Diaper Covers, White
Average Reviews:

These are really nice covers, and the price was amazing, so with twins I couldn't pass it up.You can use these for a couple of diaper changes, I was expecting shiney sided pul on the inside of the covers but I think it is a sandwiched PUL with fabric on both sides. That being said, it stays dry after a wet diaper. It takes alot to saturate the fabric. They seem to breath nice. This is a tri-folded prefold system so it is a little bit bulky, but the covers are made roomy, they also work great with my homemade fitteds, and Thirsties fab-fitteds.Leg gussets would be a nice addition, but we have had very few leaks and they were probably our fault anyway. You just have to make sure the velcro is nice and snug.

The only con I found about these covers is that the laundry tab is a little too small and placed too close to the velcro tab itself. Not a major issue, you just have to be very deliberate in the way you place them so other laundry doesn't get stuck to the velcro, this would not stop me from purchasing them again. Also, the velcro is what I believe is called industrial velcro and is much stiffer and easier for toddlers to undo by themselves, but we haven't had a problem as long as I keep pants or shorts on them, you wouldn't have this problem with this with less mobile and coordinated babies. An option for snaps would be nice. Those are the only reasons I gave it 4 stars.I will definetly be buying all my friends with new babies the Real Nappies trial pack to get them hooked on CDing if I can.

Product Description:

The Real Nappies Snug Wrap three-layer diaper cover is made of a completely breathable polyurethane laminate that wicks away moisture and provides top notch waterproofing. Its superfine leg and waist taping that stands up to vigorous wash and wear. The velcro-like tabs are hardy enough to survive industrial laundry cycles but still retain their stickiness without rashing up your baby.
Each Real Nappies Snug Wrap can typically be worn a few times before needing to be washed, and is generally usable as soon as your washer's spin cycle has finished. Just grab and go.
It's designed for use with Real Nappies Cloth Diapers and can equally be used with other cloth diapers or worn over disposables.
